The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Technical team for a graduate of computing or IT looking for their first role. Supported by our team of experienced Technical Support Engineers, all training will be given to enable the successful candidate to learn about the necessary technologies and equipment so they are able to provide expert 1^st to 3^rd line IT support to our global portfolio of Superyachts. This role requires extensive travel to support our team complete onboard configuration and installation of a wide variety of hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and dealing with email enquiries within the framework of the Help Desk ticketing system, answering emails, working out the reasons for the problems and explaining these to the user.
Providing customer support on the telephone and face to face
Undertaking remote monthly backups of the systems on board the yacht
Arranging the purchase and delivery of new equipment and software
Carrying out configuration, installation and maintenance of equipment
Travelling to vessels to be responsible for refits, new builds and routine maintenance of customer IT and satellite communication systems
Installing VSAT equipment on board and providing the necessary support to ensure seemless satellite communications
Activation or deactivation of any GSM or 4G SIMS required
Working as part of a team

Qualifications and skills required

You must hold a degree in computing or information technology/ or have achieved a Level 3 National Diploma and have 2 years’ experience
Keen to learn
Customer focused with a commitment to helping each client
Effective time-management skills
Clean Driving licence
Strong team-building skills
